Malu-maluin

The title basically means...being embarrassing,

Wherever and whatever I do... I keep on embarrassing myself, I suppose. =w=
Why on earth do I have to be so clumsy?
Lol lemme retell the tales for you.

Hmm. So, ever since I got here, I go to some dinners/lunches organized by Indonesians who live here. Never did I expect to find so many chances to taste Indonesian food with their spices and plain rice.
It's truly a blessing to still be able to eat Indonesian food...which I never ate before.

Lolololol yeah, it's Indonesian food, but oft times they are not the foods I am familiar with. Maybe because we're all from different regions of Indonesia--but nevertheless I am thankful, and they always succeed to bring my appetite up all the same! Bless spices! Bless micin!! Bless sugar in food!!! Yahoo!

(Must I tell you that among 9 people who live in my house, I am the only one who has sugar? These Europeans...how can they live without sugar...)

And it's a very good opportunity because I meet many great people, who, due to the rarity of Indonesians, get along so close. I get the feeling that they'd barely notice me had we not meet here lol.

If only I could stop embarrassing myself in public.

First of all, I wish I could stop spilling things. I kinda look like a moron when I try to pour 5l water into a glass and poured twice the amount required instead. I'm sure the people who watched me got embarrassed as well, while I panic even more and try to clean it.

Mmm hmm.

There's another one. One time, friends from home wanted to make vidcall just in the same schedule as an important meeting (and feast) to choose the new PPI (Perkumpulan Pelajar Indonesia) Portugal. And in the middle of the meeting my phone rang and I accidentally picked it up, panicking to answer and having the cat get my tongue while ruckuses can be heard from the speaker. T--T gosh....they laughed at me...

And there's one that is even worse.

So...one time, I was invited with the others to attend lunch with the Honorable General Comisary (Konjen Kehormatan) Portugal - Indonesia for Trades and Business. He was a very fun and intelligent man with quick wit and keen memory. We all talk about a lot of things, and I really do hope he remembered my name.

The thing is...in one of the conversation my offline geographical sense was revealed by me totally forgetting where Magelang is. Now, if you ever know the temple of Borobudur which was one of the world's seven wonders and is the biggest Buddha temple in the world--yep, it's in Magelang, Middle Java, Indonesia. Yet.....I....

''Umm....Magelang, wait, where is Magelang again... near Bromo Mountain?''

//dude, that's Malang.

I have no idea...is my pun sense so strong that I pun into oblivion...I must not give in and be controlled by puns....

A-anyway. I was panicking when everyone kinda, ''No, girl did u learn geography at all srsly'' and admitted that I am bad at remembering streets and roads as well, AS IF it was necessary to embarrass myself any further....

There's actually even more stories of me embarrassing myself, but...ung

.....when will I ever have that cool image I always want in the mind of great colleagues... I wanted to perform networking.... I need it.... sobs sobs

W-well, anyway. But some nice things happened, too. I meet many people and I make so many friends I was quite surprised with myself. As usual I have a bad time managing it, haha, but, I think it's all well X3
And I became the Secretary and Treasurer of PPI! Tho I don't do much here. Oh well. It'd be good to have in my CV.  /slapped
>w</ hope I will continue to do better!!

See you in my next misadventures!
